Care Guide
Candle Care:
For safety and longevity, proper care is essential. Trim the wick to 1/8 inch before each burn to reduce flame height and prevent sooting, significantly minimizing the risk of house fires. If sooting persists, move the candle away from drafts. Regular trimming also prevents wax spillage, enhancing your candle’s lifespan and ensuring a consistently enjoyable experience.
Cleaning:
If your candle gathers dust, use a lint-free cloth with a small amount of rubbing alcohol to gently remove dust from the wax, being careful to avoid the wick. Allow several moments for the alcohol to evaporate before lighting the candle, ensuring a clean and safe burn.
Cracks:
Encountering a horizontal crack near the wick in beeswax is not unusual. Beeswax's unique hardness requires a hotter flame to melt. After extinguishing, the cooled wax may temporarily form cracks until the next burn.
Bloom:
A hazy film, known as bloom, may develop on the surface of beeswax candles over time. This natural occurrence indicates high-quality wax and a well-aged candle, where soft oils rise to the surface.
WARNING:
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn within sight. Keep away from things that catch fire. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
